Crafting Time

I havd been turning my hand to cardmaking over the past month or so and this is my latest creation. I love how quickly something beautiful appears from scraps of paper and cardboard and the expression in my friends faces when I tell them I made their birthday card is priceless, I don't think they really believe me! I am very lucky that I can get my hands on a cardmaking magazine whenever I want it so I do have a pretty good, fast growing kit.

Hi and welcome to the life of me, my crafty life. I love everything to do with crafting and I love trying anything new. I have been able to knit for as long as I can remember, I can picture my younger self sitting in my gran's armchair with a cup of tea next to me and my bright yellow needles in hand. I started making jewellery about 5 years ago which is much more up my street. What can I say, I'm a lazy crafter, I like seeing instant results, hence why my knitting bag is full of half finished projects and my jewellery box is full of earrings and necklaces that I can actually wear!
I am determined that the new year will mean new crafts as I recently starting working for the advertising department of a national sewing magazine and it has inspired me. I have asked my craft widdow of a boyfriend for a sewing machine for Christmas so I can attempt to make my own clothes, a lot of my families presents this year are going to be handmade or upcycled from something boring too so I decided I want to share my journey with the world and maybe insipre somebody at the same time.
